Tigers Update 4/22/06

Great Effort Today Tigers!

It was a tough game in tough weather, but the Tigers never stopped fighting and came really close to tying the game in the fourth quarter.  The 2-1 loss to the Bridgewater Titans doesn’t give any justice to how hard everyone worked today.  Victor’s goal was beautiful while Corrine and Zachary continued to shine with their drive.  Liam, Romeo, Dan, and Jackie drove the mid-field throughout the game.  Jarret continued his solid play in goal, and Brendan and Kyle looked strong playing tight defense against the Titans. 

Our game against Hazlet scheduled for Sunday April 22nd has been rescheduled for Tuesday May 2nd with a 6:30PM start. 

We also have our rescheduled game against the Colonia Lightning in Colonia set for this Thursday, April 27th at 6PM.

Tiger's Update, 4/3/06

Congratulations Tigers on your first win of the season!!!

The Tigers played hard and were able to take the win over the Berkeley Heights Benders 2-1 today.  The Tigers have waited three weeks to get their season under way and shook off early game jitters to put forth a terrific effort today.  Jackie and Jarret played great in goal, letting only one goal by with tons of shots coming at them all game long.  Kyle, Daniel, Liam, and Brendan worked hard to protect their half of the field and pressured the Benders offense all game long.  Romeo had a great debut as a new Tiger with smart passing and heads up plays.  Victor, Zachary, Corrine and Eduardo led the charge on offense with a tremendous work effort in the second half.  The Tigers worked as a TEAM and put together a performance that made our parents SHOUT with pride all game long. 

This week starts practices on both Tuesday and Thursday with Coach Paul at Mauger School.  We will keep you posted on next weekend’s schedule for the kids.
