The newly formed RATTLERS are the Middlesex U16 Boys team.  The group brings the legacy of the MYSA DRAGONS with the energy of several new players.  The current roster includes Adam, Wes, Bill, Chris, Mike, Dan, Tom, Eugene, Pat, Joe, Steve, Karl and Greg.  The team philosophy is that "soccer is a players' game".

Rattlers Game Results ^ Back to Top

4/1/06 (Wk. A) Plainfield 2, RATTLERS 1

The RATTLERS played with a determined team-effort, and held a 1-0 halftime lead.  But Plainfield won on two goals within four minutes of the restart, the winner on an own goal.

4/2/06 (Wk. C) RATTLERS 2, Spotswood 1

The RATTLERS recorded first team win, after trailing 1-0 at the 20 minute mark.  After many good scoring opportunities, the ball found the back of the net twice in the next ten minutes.  Great defensive work in 2nd Half secured the win.  For third straight game, Wes recorded a shutout half.

4/29 (Wk. E) Berkeley Heights 1, RATTLERS 0 ... 1 Ref

In a great game which provided equal chances for both teams, the RATTLERS surrendered the only goal 5 minutes from the final whistle.
The RATTLERS started the game with 11 men and finished the last 15
minutes with only 10 after an injury sidelined our sweeper.

4/30 (Wk. F) South Plainfield 6, RATTLERS 0 ... 3 Refs

The RATTLERS were playing their second game in less than 24 hours, and against a very good opponent. The home team tallied four by halftime, which allowed Greg to give Wes his first break from goaltending this season.

5/7 (Wk. G) RATTLERS 2, Hillsborough 1 ... 3 Refs

The RATTLERS played a good game throughout, although the outcome was assured to the final whistle. The RATS took the lead 1-0 at the 26 minute mark, but Hillsborough got the equalizer one minute before break on a PK. The winning goal was set-up by a beautiful chip pass (necessary with the speed of the turf field) midway through the second half.

5/14 (Wk. H) RATTLERS 1, Monroe 1 ... 1 Ref

The RATTLERS played a good game, despite only 11 players due to the High School Band Trip. In addition, Monroe jumped to a 1-0 lead after ten minutes. However the RATTLERS played hard and got the equalizer midway in the 2nd half. Wes played great in goal with numerous collisions with teammates and opponents.

5/21 (Wk. I) West Windsor 3, RATTLERS 1 ... 3 Refs

The RATTLERS couldn't find their game, as we lost three players to injuries (both center mids) and another player couldn't find the field.  The team did grab a 1-0 lead early, but a defensive mix-up allowed the tieing goal just before half. West Windsor scored twice in the 2nd
