Seeking U16 Girls for Existing Team
If you've enjoyed playing recreation or school soccer in the past, and would like to continue playing in the spring, then it's time to check out Middlesex Youth Soccer’s Jaguars, a U16 Girls Soccer Team.
The Jaguars team has been playing in the Mid New Jersey Soccer League for the past several years. We currently have players from Middlesex and Surrounding communities.
My name is Ray Markunas I have been the coach of the Jaguars for several years. I love the game of soccer and have coached this team with the belief of providing each player and the team with an environment that will allow them to succeed both competitively and socially.
As this team has grown to the high school age level, many of our former players have either moved up to older age teams or moved on to pursue their own endeavors; that is why we are looking for players for the upcoming spring season.
If you have never been involved in travel soccer let me give you some of the details….
• Every Sunday, Starting around March 18th, for 10 weeks we play other U16 Girls soccer teams in the area. Game start times anywhere from 11:30 am to 4:30pm.
• Traveling is typically no further than 45 minutes away; rides with other players can easily be obtained.
• To play on this team you could not have turned age 16 before August 1st 2006.
• We have training with professional trainers. Attendance at training is always a question that is asked, as a coach, I would love to see players at every training session; however, with High school schedules I have found this next to impossible. Usually before the season we have some discussion with the team with regards to the season’s goals and with each individual to determine availability.
• Cost- The registration fees are $140.00 which covers training, fields, referee fees, etc. Uniform cost is $75.00 it is possible to obtain a uniform from a former player at no or minimal cost. Lastly, if you have financial concerns; MYSA has a hardship program(when approved you take over one of the club duties, like painting fields)
If you have an interest, or would like additional information please give me a call at 732-868-1385.
Coach Ray Markunas
Please welcome the Jaguars back to another season, while the name may be familiar this team has a changed to be a wonderful mix former players and new players. These girls have returned from playing on their respective high school teams, to enjoy the spring outdoors enhancing their soccer skills. It should be a great season of revisiting old friendships and building new ones. Good Luck Jags !
